Fortnite is increasing its Icon Series lineup of skins and cosmetics by adding players, like Harry Kane and Marco Reus, who are currently competing in the UEFA Euro 2020 Cup.
Fortnite continues its fast-paced release schedule for partnered skins and cosmetics with more footballers joining the lineup as Harry Kane and Marco Reus are being added alongside previous addition, Neymar Jr. While sports-themed skins are just one small section of what Fortnite offers, they are commemorating the UEFA Euro 2020 competitors with this release.
For those who don’t know, the UEFA Euro 2020 (was canceled last year, hence retaining 2020) is a major soccer tournament with all of the top European national soccer teams.
England National Team Captain Harry Kane and two-time German Player of the Year Marco Reus are each receiving skins on June 11th at 8pm ET and will be available as separate outfits or together in the Kane & Reus Bundle. Additionally, Fortnite will be hosting their own version of the UEFA Euro 2020 Cup to start Chapter 2 Season 7, with the opportunity to earn prize money as well as in-game cosmetic rewards starting on June 16th.
The UEFA Euro 2020 Cup in Fortnite will take place over two days, with one round each day. Round 1 will be open to all eligible players as described in the Fortnite UEFA Euro 2020 Cup Official Rules. The top-performing players from Round 1 will advance to Round 2. You can see the breakdown per region below:
- Europe, NA East, Na West, Brazil – Top 1,000 players from each region will advance from Round 1 to Round 2.
- Middle East, Asia, Oceania – Top 500 players from each region will advance from Round 1 to Round 2.
As Round 2 ends, the best players in each region will earn a share of a $50,000 prize pool. Additionally, all players who score a minimum of 10 points will earn the Winner’s Cup Emoticon, and all players who score at least 20 points will earn the Kick it! Spray.
