Three new Crunchyroll original anime series are joining this year’s Fall anime season.
Hot anime summer is over! The time for Fall anime is here now. Crunchyroll highlighted six trending series to keep on your watchlist as the weather gets cold, and you’re dreading the impending winter chill. Let’s not get too glum because the anime series streaming will kindle a fire in your soul.
Here are the six trending titles from Crunchyroll:
- Blade Runner: Black Lotus – A Crunchyroll and Adult Swim Original. Taking place in Los Angeles 2032, a new story in the Blade Runner universe unfolds.
- Fena: Pirate Princess – In this Crunchyroll and Adult Swim original series, an orphan escapes to the high seas and takes her place as captain of a pirate crew for a swashbuckling adventure!
- Platinum End – From the creators of “Death Note,” a young boy must fight against 12 other humans to become the next god of the world!
- Restaurant to Another World 2 – The Western Restaurant Nekoya welcomes you to another course in Restaurant to Another World 2!
- SAKUGAN – A father and daughter team up to pilot their powerful mech to fight monsters and explore the mysteries of the “Labyrinth”!
- High Guardian Spice – In this Crunchyroll Original series from creator Raye Rodriguez, four fierce girls join High Guardian Academy to become heroes and protect the world from unknown threats!
Personally, I’m excited for the return of Restaurant to Another World 2. Its first season aired back in 2017, and I really loved the animation of the food and characters (mostly the food!).
The main story is about a restaurant named “Nekoya” that serves Western dishes to its customers from Monday to Fridays. But on Saturdays, something peculiar happens. The restaurant is transported to different fantasy worlds! The restaurant inside is still the same, but the guests who walk through Nekoya’s doors come in from all kinds of backgrounds and histories, from elves to mystical animal beings. Nekoya doesn’t discriminate.
If you’re into anime with rich dialogue, storytelling and complex characters (did I mention great-looking food?), then I would recommend Restaurant to Another World and its second season coming out soon.
