PlayStation Plus subscribers have an exciting month ahead, with a range of spooky and dramatic games coming to the platform this October.
Announced via the official PlayStation Blog, the October lineup of games coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium includes large titles such as Mafia: The Old Country alongside lesser-known ones like Mycopunk (both games reviewed by yours truly). In addition, Horizon Forbidden West, which was delisted from the Game Catalogue in 2024, is returning this month, giving gamers a second chance to experience Guerrilla Games’ open-world survival epic. These titles will launch on October 20th, 2026 (unless otherwise stated).

Naturally, to celebrate the spookiest month of the year, PlayStation Plus Extra will include the second chapter of Poppy Playtime and The Midnight Walk. Both games cover a wide gamut of horror experiences, with Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 more widely expanding the lore of the series from the first chapter, as well as raising the stakes and tension; and The Midnight Walk utilizing intense atmosphere and visuals in a VR space to put the player on edge.
