This Summer continues to bring big gaming showcases, and today, Annapurna Interactive gave fans a look behind the curtain at what’s coming next from the publisher.
As the summer sun blazes overhead, Annapurna Interactive has ignited the gaming world with a showcase of its upcoming titles. Proving to be a red-hot event, the publisher bypassed the formalities and took us straight into the beating heart of its gaming portfolio. From spine-chilling horror teasers to enchanting creature-collecting adventures, the Annapurna Interactive Showcase gave fans a tantalizing glimpse of the future. Let’s take a deeper dive into the exciting announcements and intriguing revelations that unfolded during this highly anticipated gaming event.
Lorelei and the Laser Eyes
The Annapurna Interactive Showcase started without an introduction and jumped right into the swing of showing its next games. A horror teaser was the first thing shown for a title called Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, a cryptic title that asks the question, “Do you remember the maze?” It was said to release on the Nintendo Switch and Steam at a TBD date.
Cocoon
From the creator of Limbo, Jeppe Carlsen’s next game is called Cocoon, and it will take the player on a journey across worlds within worlds. It is scheduled to release on September 29
Lushfoil Photography Sim
This new game from Matt Newell sees players venture around lush landscapes and capture photos of stunning nature scenes. Players are tasked with finding and obtaining the perfect shot with the in-game camera. This camera is said to have all of the settings and effects a real-life camera would. Lushfoil Photography Sim is coming soon to console.
To a T
The next title featured at the Annapurna Interactive showcase is To a T. This game reveal featured a simplistic art style, and the main protagonist seemingly can’t seem to put his arms down. This 3D episodic adventure explores how the main character fits in although he is stuck like a T. He has a charismatic dog companion and is not afraid to be himself. The release date is still TBD.
Flock
An Annapurna Interactive game update for Flock was then given. Flock is a game about collecting creatures and forming a flock to fly around the landscape with. There are many creatures to collect in this title, and players will need to employ all of their senses to capture different creatures. Many different game mechanics can alter what creatures a player can find, such as creatures only being available at sunset time of day. Fans can gather their friends at a TBD release date in 2024.
Ghostbike
Ghostbike was then revealed, and it puts players in the shoes of a kid from Freehub City on a mission to revive the last of the Ghost Bikes. These are magical couriers who rode between the world of the living and the world of the dead. Ghostbike is coming in 2024.
Mundaun
A hand-drawn pencilled title called Mundaun was shown off at the Annapurna Interactive showcase next, showcasing a creepy, unsettling atmosphere. This is a unique horror tale set in a dark, secluded valley of The Alps and tasks the player to explore to move forward—releases on June 29.
Bounty Star
Bounty Star is next at the Annapurna Interactive showcase. It showcased a story about a broken ex-soldier named Clementine McKinney, who is trying to start a new life away from home. You are a bounty hunter that has to clean up your life and build your new life as a bounty hunter after quitting the military. Cooking and crafting will play a heavy role in Bounty Star, and Clem will meet many characters on her quest. Bounty Star is coming in early 2024.
Stray was then announced for Xbox, and it will be available on August 10.
Thirsty Suitors
From Outerloop Games, Thirsty Suitors puts the player in the shoes of Jala, and you have to confront exes, attempt to win your mother’s approval, and reconnect with your sister all before her wedding on a mission to find yourself. Thirsty Suitors releases on November 2.
Storyteller
The Annapurna Interactive showcase then revealed a new chapter for Storyteller that brings new characters in a new update. New scenarios are added, and players can add chaos to stories. Storyteller is also coming to Netflix Games. The update arrives on September 26.
Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth
The Annapurna Interactive showcase closed out with a bang and a new game reveal. Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth was then revealed, and it is set in the already-established Blade Runner universe taking place between the original film and the sequel, Blade Runner 2049. established universe. Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth was revealed as coming to Steam and Console in the very brief teaser trailer.
