ATLUS Announces Sequel to Persona 4: Arena 1

ATLUS announced a sequel to Persona 4: Arena today.

Titled Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold, the game is an update exclusively for Japanese arcades. The update adds Persona 3 characters Junpei Iori and Yukari Takeba to the ring, as well as an all-new character.

The new character, named Sho Minazuki, looks to wield two katanas and has bright-red hair. It is unknown at the moment whether he is considered an ally or enemy of the protagonists.

This update’s story, according to Siliconera, takes place a few days after the events of Persona 4: Arena. The plot involves a new tournament showing up on Mayonaka TV, with S.E.E.S. investigating soon after.

Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold will launch in Japanese arcades sometime this winter season.
