Bandai Namco Unveils Dark Souls Remastered Stress Test, May 11-12

Fans eager to check out Dark Souls Remastered but can’t wait until its May 25th release can try the game out a little early. Bandai Namco has announced that the game will be getting a network test from May 11 to 12, 2018.

The upcoming stress test will be available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game and will be set within the Undead Parish location within the game world. Players will be able to encounter each other and duke it out in intense brawls, co-op summoning action and invasion incursions.

Players will be able to download the network test client starting today on both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. The actual test will take place starting on the 11th from 6:00 pm PDT to 11:59: PM for the two days the test is live.

Dark Souls initially came out in 2011 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It was the first game after Demon Souls which was a PlayStation 3 exclusive. Dark Souls Remastered will include not only the base game but the Artorias of the Abyss DLC as well. The game will also run at an impressive 60fps on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, while the Nintendo Switch version promises a solid 30fps in both docked and portable mode.

Dark Souls Remastered will be available on May 25, 2018, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam, with a Nintendo Switch version of the game scheduled to come out later this Summer alongside a Solaire Amiibo.
