Electronic Arts is developing six to eight completely new IPs.

EA Games Label vice president Patrick Soderlund told MCV in an interview that the company will take risks in order to deliver brand new games.

“The day we stop making new IPs is when we go on life support,” he said. “We need to incubate new ideas and push creative boundaries.”

A new Mirror’s Edge is in the works, alongside Star Wars Battlefront. There are no specifics on what the new IPs are, except for Titanfall which will come out early 2014 on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
