CCP Games announced that EVE Fanfest 2023 will take place in Reykjavík, Iceland on September 21 – 23, 2023, to celebrate the massive title’s 20th anniversary.
Since its inception back in 2004, EVE Fanfest has been the peak destination for EVE Online players to celebrate and share their united passion for EVE Online. EVE Fanfest 2023 ups the ante this year with a massive celebration of the game’s 20th anniversary and a peek at what’s to come with keynotes, player and developer presentations, showcases, panels, and much more. EVE Fanfest has been the destination for everything EVE Online for the past 20 years, and this year is destined to be the biggest celebration of EVE Online yet, as Fanfest returns to a 3-day format for 2023.
To speak on the prominence of this year’s EVE Fanfest 2023, CCP Creative Director, Bergur Finnbogason said “EVE Fanfest 2023 will be the biggest celebration of EVE yet. EVE will live forever, but will only turn 20 once,” including “We’re giving the community an extraordinary experience, reflecting on what this universe has given us, and showing our commitment to making EVE live on forever. CCP Games partnered with The Escapist to give fans an inside look at putting together EVE Online’s most significant celebration and its impact on the community. Filmed throughout last year’s EVE Fanfest 2022, this documentary reveals how players use Fanfest events to forge alliances or reconnect with fellow pilots from around the world.
EVE Fanfest 2023 will provide many different events from exciting and fun pub crawls, to presentations that are designed to teach attendees like The James Webb Space Telescope event that provides insight into the structure of the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope, and the possible breakthroughs that it now promises. EVE Fanfest 2023 has a fully loaded schedule that attendees can peruse at their immediate convenience.
