Final Fantasy XV is a story of a chosen Prince named Noctis trust into becoming the rightful king of Lucis. Noctis is joined by his three friends and bodyguards. After many years of fighting between the nations of Lucis and Niflheim, the two finally decide to come to a peace agreement. To symbolize this peace Noctis is sent to marry Lady Lunafreya of Tenebrae. Unbeknownst to Prince Noctis, his journey will be fraught with danger.

Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition has a chance of being brought over to the Nintendo Switch. Hajime Tabata, Director of Final Fantasy XV said that he and the team “would have to think about what the meaning and what the significance of bringing this to Switch would be. You know, whether people would want to play it and whether it would be the right thing to do for our team.” The main release of Final Fantasy XV could not run on the Switch because the console could not get the most from game’s engine.

The Pocket edition will be split the content over 10 episodes. Each episode will focus on a specific part of Noctis’s journey to return to Lucis. The game is currently available for pre-register on the App Store and Google Play, with a Windows 10 version slated to release later.
