Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Is At SDCC With a Playable Demo

Today, SDCC 2023 kicks off, and to coincide with the opening Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will be present with activities and a demo.

San Diego Comic-Con and Square Enix have partnered up to bring Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis to the showroom floor as a demo and events. At the Square Enix booth (#3829), fans can sink their claws into the new mobile Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, take souvenir photos with a Buster Sword, and even win exclusive merchandise from the booth. Below is the trailer for the title shown off at the Summer Game Fest showcase.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is a chapter-based RPG experience delivered straight from fans’ smartphones, and it will cover important storyline depth from the Final Fantasy VII universe. The hands-on demo that will be presented at SDCC, will guide players through the tutorial segment and get a feel for the new title. Fans can also take photos of a life-sized standee of protagonist Cloud Strife while visiting the stand, and fans can also take part in a big cosplay gathering at their booth on Saturday, July 22, at 4:00 pm PT.

SDCC attendees can also take part in a raffle each day to win prizes. If fans show Square Enix booth employees that they’ve pre-registered for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, or if they have any of the below Square Enix titles on their phone, they can enter the raffles. The titles are:

  • OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Champions of the Continent,
  • Romancing SaGa Re;universe
  • DRAGON QUEST TACT
  • DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY OPERA OMNIA
  • WAR OF THE VISIONS FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS
  • FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS

SDCC 2023 takes place from July 20 until July 23, and Square Enix will be there all four days with the demo available to try. Fans can slide over to the official Square Enix website for more information regarding Ever Crisis.
