Fortnite v40.20 Is Here With Bug Fixes, WWE Hype, and a New Showdown Event

Important Fixes All Around

Fortnite v40.20 Patch Notes and Event Details Are Here

Fortnite has had its latest patch notes for the next update revealed, and it fixes a lot of problems players have been having.

Leaked by the X account FireMonkey, the patch notes outline the changes being made for the v40.20 update releasing today. The Chaos Reloader Shotgun, which was previously glitched and had its main feature, auto-reload when unequipped, rendered non-functional, now works and displays reload progress on the item bar. Thorne’s Vampiric Blade also no longer causes the jump input to fail after its secondary attack is used.

Aside from that small overview of bug fixes, Fortnite is also entering into the Showdown Act II: The Elites. This event is basically a contest between two opposing sides, Team Ice King and Team Foundation. Supporting a team will yield rewards by fulfilling milestone goals through duels with other players on opposing sides. The rewards are really tilted in the Ice King’s favour as the tier three reward is the Reforged Infinity Blade, the infamous weapon from when the Ice King first appeared and the namesake of the Infinity Blade game series. Team Foundation just gets some cool-looking guns.

It’s also worth mentioning that Fortnite has collaborated with WWE to bring some famous wrestlers to the game. Stone Cold Steve Austin will be joining the island ranks along with a supposed inclusion of Liv Morgan, but take that with a grain of salt because it is still just a leak. The patch notes are still pretty extensive, though, so check out the full list below.
