All comic fans’ favourite time of year is rapidly approaching. In just one month, it will be Free Comic Book Day again, and on this May 4th celebration, there are a whopping 48 titles hungry for readers’ eyes.
First and foremost, Free Comic Book Day is an annual event that celebrates creators, comic books, artists, and, most importantly, fans by giving away quality books to add to a budding collection or put fans on new interests. The FCBD mantra is the belief that “for every person out there, there’s a comic book they’ll love,” and for the first Saturday in May (which lands on May the 4th this year), Free Comic Book Day is rolling out the red carpet for 48 books, selected for aspiring fans to enter a participating shop and claim.
From an origin story from Valiant Comics that shows how Valiant formed their superhero group to an FCBD-specialized Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles issue, there is certainly something on the menu for fans of every genre. Below is the list of all the issues on offer for Free Comic Book Day, all 48 of them. (Side note: most of the titles listed have FCBD 2024 included in its title).

Free Comic Book Day spokesperson Ashton Greenwood says, “Every year, we strive to bring fans a memorable Free Comic Book Day experience!” he then adds, “The variety of this year’s comic book selection is really exciting!
