Gamescom has announced its lengthy list of yearly award winners for gamescom 2023, just a couple of days before the end of the show itself on August 27.
There are 15 total categories for the awards, decided by both an expert awards jury, with CGMagazine’s own Brendan Frye among them, and visitors of gamescom. The nominees can be a mix of recently released titles and upcoming ones.
At this year’s event, not entirely surprisingly, Nintendo won the most awards of any publisher, thanks in no small part to the already well-received The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which continues to be one of the highest-rated games of the year.
Despite some big announcements, the award for Best Trailer went to Little Nightmares 3, the latest entry in the horror-platforming series from Bandai Namco.
Gamescom Opening Night Live had over two hours of new trailers and announcements, including fresh looks at Sonic Superstars, Alan Wake 2, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, and Mortal Kombat 1.
If you missed gamedcom ONL you can see everything announced in our round-up.
