With the weather getting warmer and many people getting more active, Google announces the Fitbit Air, alongside a new Google Health App as a revamp to the Fitbit app.
Expanding the Fitbit family, Google has announced the Fitbit Air, a sleek bracelet compatible with Android and iOS. As a low-profile, screenless Fitbit, the bracelet features a sensor to track users’ heart rate, exercise, sleep, and more, while utilizing the new Google Health Coach, powered by Gemini. Alongside the new Fitbit Air, Google will transform the Fitbit app into Google Health, offering many benefits to help free and premium users track their activities and health.

Google Fitbit Air

Standing out from the Fitbit family, the Google Fitbit Air is a screenless bracelet available in three models: a Performance Loop Band for a flexible fit, a sweatproof Active Band for challenging workouts, and an Elevated Modern Band for fashion. Highlighting its capabilities, the Fitbit Air features a 24/7 heart rate tracker with alerts, tracks weekly cardio and readiness, measures distance and steps, provides weekly targets, and has a week-long battery life. In addition to tracking users’ exercise, the bracelet features an in-depth sleep tracker that monitors users’ sleep stages and breathing regularity, provides a sleep summary with a score, and a Smart Wake alarm.
Alongside the abundance of features, Google Pixel Watch owners can sync their watch and Fitbit Air to the latest Google Health App, making it easier to switch between the watch and bracelet while keeping their information intact.


For those who love the NBA, especially the Golden State Warriors player Stephen Curry, Google has collaborated with the NBA player to design the Google Fitbit Air Special Edition. The special edition features a water-resistant coating, raised interior print to improve airflow, and Stephen Curry’s signature design details with a brown and orange colour scheme. Launching on May 26, the Google Fitbit Air Special Edition will be available for $129.99 USD.
Google Health App

Following 15 years after the launch of the Fitbit App, Google will redesign and rebrand the app as Google Health, making it easier for free and premium users to track their sleep, fitness, and health goals. Powered by Gemini, the app introduces Google Health Coach, tailoring a fitness plan based on the user’s life and goals through workout suggestions. Not to mention, the upcoming Fitbit Air utilizes the latest Google Health Coach.
The Google Health Coach offers many features to help users maintain a healthy lifestyle. The features included are:
