GTA 6 Fans Hint It May Launch On Unreleased Consoles 1

Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) fans have found that the game may launch on future consoles beyond the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Rockstar Games continues to get more and more hype from their GTA fans, as the fans have found more interesting insights into the unreleased and unofficial news surrounding GTA 6. The latest update suggests that GTA 6 will launch somewhere in 2025 and that it will be able to run on PlayStation 5 Pro and Xbox Series X Pro consoles. This is all based on the assumption that these consoles would be out by then. The other update came from some fans doing some math and digging…yuck math! But apparently, based on the leaks and careful analysis, fans were not happy to know the size of the potential new map.

While it may feel like forever since the last GTA game was released and for Rockstar Games to officially announce GTA 6, leaks have been spreading all over the internet. The latest news confirmed the game should be out on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, logically speaking. But a recent report suggests, through GamesIndustry.biz, that the game should be ready to run on the Pro versions of the aforementioned consoles.

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked whether he expects to see another round of hardware released before the console generation is over. He believes this will “probably” be the case but added it would likely “not affect the business very much.” This implies they are ready for any new hardware that might be released in the next couple of years. Again, this could all just be overlooked, and nothing is official yet. Leaks on next-gen consoles already hint that a beefed-up PS5 console could come out in 2024, with an upgraded Xbox Series model not too far behind. Rumours on the Nintendo Switch 2 are already looming as well.

As for the potential outlook of the new map in GTA 6, fans recently dove into the latest leaks and pieced together a map based on coordinates from the leaked gameplay footage. Unfortunately, fans were quick to realize they were not impressed. While it was not an official map, people were not fond of its similar size to Los Santos from GTA 5.

“10 years to develop a game and Vice City is still basically the same size as Los Santos? I really hope this isn’t true and we get a much larger urban area, I’m not sure I understand this sub’s obsession with having two square blocks of city followed by 100 square miles of empty nothingness,” Reddit user pk10534 wrote, responding to the comparison of the supposed new map and GTA V’s. “Yikes, and you thought GTA V had a lot of empty space,” added dubbs911.

Through much discussion, it has been suggested that GTA 6 could feature a map size similar to its last game. However, it is highly likely to have much more to do! Fans may think they want bigger, but sometimes it is not the size that counts, but the quality.
