Inafune Speaks up About Mighty No. 9

Inafune Speaks up About Mighty No. 9 - 2015-10-21 16:09:54

The Mighty No. 9 has been getting some flack as of late. Not only has it been delayed a few times now, people have been claiming it is not all they hoped for. While it seems Keiji Inafune has spoken up about the full thing and has details about the project and what he has planned for the future.

Speaking at the Unreal Fest 2015 Yokohama Event, Inafune has confirmed that “Mighty No. 9 absolutely will not be delayed” and that part of the reason for the delay was the “numbers of platform.”

He also seems realistic about the project stating that he “Cannot say it’s a complete success yet since it still haven’t been released.” He goes on to say that The game needs to sell a lot of copies”

One interesting tidbit from the talk is that a “Sequel is planned if it were successful.” Now if Red Ash is anything to go by, there may not be as much appetite for non-Mega Man games from Inafune, although once The Mighty No. 9 hits backers, we will have a better idea of how the overall game plays.
