11 Bit Studios has announced the release date of INDIKA, developed by Odd Meter Studio for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
A story-driven game set in alternative Russia during the late XIX century, INDIKA, will be released on May 8th, 2024, and will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC (Via Steam, Epic, and GOG). Players will assume the role of a Nun named Indika as she is on a journey of self-discovery with an unlikely companion.
Made in Unreal Engine 4, the story follows Indika wanting to find herself as she adjusts to the life of the monotonous monastery. Her appearance is humble and innocent, yet she has a very strange connection with a man named Ilyia. With Ilyia by her side, she is led to adventures way beyond the wall of the monastery and introduced to the chaotic world filled with comedy and tragedy as she comes across obstacles and gains experience, all while the devils are behind her shoulders as they are tempting her with sinful decisions yet thought-provoking. It leaves you with one question as you complete the adventure: Can prayers save her from this madness?
As INDIKA is a couple of months away from releasing, players can get a taste of the game through the demo on Steam.
Publisher 11 Bit Studios has recently released The Thaumaturge (2024) and is currently developing the sequel to Frostpunk (2018), Frostpunk 2, which is set to release sometime in 2024. On the other hand, Odd Meter Studio has released a VR game called SACRALITH: The Archer’s Tales (2018), which is their only game for now.
11 Bit Studio and Odd Meter Studio announced INDIKA on October 18, 2023, with the team providing updates and interacting with their fans on Twitter (X) during the development of the game.
With the demo available now on Steam, gamers can expect to purchase the full game by 11 Bit Studio and Odd Meter Studio, INDIKA, on May 8th, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Epic, and GOG). Part of the revenue generated from INDIKA is to be donated to aid the children affected by the war in Ukraine.
