King’s Quest Chapter 2 Gets a Release Date

King's Quest Chapter 2 Gets a Release Date - 2015-12-03 10:06:39

Five months after its initial release, the rebooted King’s Quest has received an official release date for its second chapter.

King’s Quests second chapter Rubble Without a Cause is set to release December 15

th

, 2015. As an added bonus for newcomers, the first chapter A Knight to Remember is available as a free download for PS Plus members throughout the month of December.

While details are scares, Rubble Without a Cause finds Graham trapped in the Lair of the rock goblins, which he briefly fought in the first chapter. According to the official Sierra website “In this latest adventure, King Graham takes players back to his first test as ruler of Daventry. When a mischievous horde of goblins takes his kingdom hostage, a newly crowned & woefully unprepared Graham must rise up to free his people & prove himself the leader he was destined to become.”

While it does excite me to see a new entry into the fantastic reboot of the King’s Quest franchise, I’m curious about the new visual direction for Graham, namely how in almost every screenshot, he’s wearing his crown. Part of what made Graham such an interesting character was how he was a “King of the people,” he almost never wore his crown in game. While it seems to suggest he loses his iconic feathered cap, I’m interested to see how this plays out for the game.
