Konami Announces Castlevania: Grimoire Of Souls With Japanese Beta 7

Konami out of nowhere has announced the latest instalment in the long-running Castlevania series of games with Castlevania: Grimoire Of Souls.

The notion of a new entry into the Castlevania series of games warrants some level of excitement as the last game based on the renowned series was in 2014 with Lords of Shadow 2. Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls will be available on iOS and will feature up to 4-player co-op multiplayer action.

Players will be able to play as familiar Castlevania characters such as Alucard, Shanoa, Maria Renard, Charlotte Aulin and the legendary Simon Belmont. Aside from the cooperative quests present within the title, players will also be able to partake in VS battles while listening to classic tracks hand-picked from the historied franchise.

Konami seems to be making more of an effort in resurrecting the Castlevania brand, the announcement for Grimoire of Souls comes a year after the release of the 4-part Netflix original based on Castlevania III from 1989.

A sign-up page has been put up for Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls for the Japanese market.
