Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault just got its second big content update, including new player options and story progression.
Launching in early access last November from developer Digital Sun, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault has been steadily adding new content, including the Greed & Glory Update in March. Today, we got the Blob-Life Update, containing content as cute as the new companions or as scary as the new challenge difficulty.
To get your hands on a new Bloblet friend, you’ll just need to encounter them on a treasure run, adopting them with a new currency type added to the update. Each Bloblet can be customized with a sleek outfit, and will even provide buffs to your shop when they settle in, including a boost to the value of your items and the amount of tips you receive. Speaking of the shop, it can now be upgraded to level 4, and a new Pet Seller vendor can be found, too.

There are also new ways to tackle adventures, the most upfront one being the new challenge difficulty — Very Hard. To tackle the new difficulty or even just to supplement your regular treasure runs, there are also several new weapons and a Poison Path that adds Poison to your abilities. The longer Poison eats away at your foes, the damage you can do against them will stack more and more!
The last of the big new features is the next chapter of Moonlighter 2‘s story, the sixth Vault challenge. The conclusion of the story will be coming in the seventh challenge planned for the next update, which, according to Digital Sun’s roadmap, will be the update taking Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault out of early access and into a 1.0 release.
Digital Sun will be bringing Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault to XBOX Series X|S, XBOX Game Pass, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. If you would like to try out the Blob-Life Update, you can play the early access on Steam.
