Motorola has announced the latest addition to the motorola edge line, including an advanced camera system, super-fast charging, and an AI assistant.
After updating us about their new foldable phone just a few weeks ago, motorola has introduced us to their latest expansion into the North American smartphone market, with the unveiling of the motorola edge 2026 smartphone. This device is designed to get its user through the day-to-day, while still featuring premium qualities such as professional-grade cameras, next-level power, and AI integration, all while staying at a $599 USD price point.
The AI assistant looks to be a pretty large part of the motorola edge 2026, as not only can it perform tasks you might expect of a modern AI like asking it questions, managing your schedule, and generating content, but it also works to enhance your photography. AI-powered software works to improve image quality by making colour, brightness, texture, and stabilization tweaks to images taken by motorola edge’s multiple cameras. The main camera set is the triple 50MP camera system, which uses OIS for high-quality photos and can record in 4K. There is also a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP selfie camera.
As for the other specs, the motorola edge 2026 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7450 processor, with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X memory and 128GB of storage. The phone also features a 5,000 mAh battery, with up to 60W TurboPower charging capable of powering your phone for the day in only seven minutes. It uses a 6.3-inch Super HD AMOLED display, with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 5,200 nits. The motorola edge also has two stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology.
The new motorola edge will be available in the United States at Best Buy and the motorola website for $599.99 USD on June 11. The device will also be available at Verizon on June 11, as well as AT&T, Cricket Wireless, Spectrum Wireless, and Xfinity Mobile at a later date. The motorola edge will be available to Canadians from the motorola website on June 11.
