New Nintendo Switch Controllers For Sega Genesis and N64 Compatibility Are Up For Order Now

The latest Nintendo Switch Direct showcased the new wireless Sega Genesis and Nintendo 64 Controllers, and they have now arrived.

Nintendo of America gave fans something to be excited about as they have announced that their Switch compatible Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis controllers have now arrived for a pre-purchase exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online members.

Back in September, Nintendo unleashed a Direct that gave fans a lot to be excited about. In that same announcement platform, Nintendo showcased a whole new part to the Nintendo Switch Online membership called the ‘Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack,’ detailing future plans to have classic N64 and Genesis titles to their platform with the new membership fee.

The future has arrived, as Nintendo’s official Twitter account has announced that the new and exclusive controller pads are up for pre-order. This purchase can notably only be made through active membership and through their website.

Fans active on the Nintendo Switch Online service looking to inject themselves into the past can make their move, as the announcement is live. Nintendo’s first-party hardware tends to sell out in Sonic speed, so if anyone truly wants a piece of this true to form classic goodness should act quickly.

The Direct announced classic N64 titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Super Mario 64. While on the Sega Genesis side of things, they’ve shown off classic Sonic titles, and Castlevania: Bloodlines. It does remain to be seen whether the gamepads can be utilized for other Nintendo-related titles for the console.
