Actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson Could Be The Next James Bond 007

Kick-Ass, Now Bond?

Actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson Could Be The Next James Bond 007 After Daniel Craig's Big Exit

Since Daniel Craig said farewell to the role of James Bond after 2021’s No Time To Die, rumours have been nonstop going off about who will become the next Bond, and now Aaron Taylor-Johnson is the latest name attached to the role.

It’s been anyone’s guess who will be attached to the now-vacant role of James Bond since Daniel Craig’s exit in 2021, and numerous actors have been rumoured since. Idris Elba, Henry Cavill, and Taron Egerton have all been tied to the role in one way or another since Craig’s retirement, and at this point, it feels like anyone can be announced as the next person to slide into the MI6 Agent’s capable shoes. Today, The Sun UK reported the next name attached to the James Bond franchise, Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

A source allegedly told the publication, “Bond is Aaron’s job, should he wish to accept it. The formal offer is on the table, and they are waiting to hear back” regarding the casting decision being offered to Aaron Taylor-Johnson. With Eon Productions looking to start filming this year, the unnamed source continued with, “As far as Eon is concerned, Aaron is going to sign his contract in the coming days and they can start preparing for the big announcement.” This is after a James Bond film franchise producer said they wanted to look for actors in their 30s back in 2022, and Taylor-Johnson certainly fits the bill.

Back in October 2023, James Bond Producer Barbara Broccoli said, “I think these movies reflect the time they are in, and there’s a big, big road ahead reinventing it for the next chapter, and we haven’t even begun with that,” to The Guardian regarding the film’s progress, so it’s safe to say the film casting has still yet to be confirmed.

While fans still don’t know who will don the black suit and tie of James Bond, Eon Productions will undoubtedly announce the casting choice as soon as it happens.
