This year’s NFCC event invites fans back to Niagara for lots of pop culture fun.
The festival will take place on October 29-30, 2021, at the Scotiabank Convention Centre at Niagara Falls, Canada. Early-bird tickets are only $14.95 per day, then they go to $19.95. Kids 6 and under can get in for free as per usual. The event comes after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the event organizers have done their due diligence with ensuring visitors can safely enjoy the experience.
Co-organizer of NFCC, Chris Dabrowski, shared their thoughts on the event, “It’s been over two years since we’ve been able to welcome fans to Comic Con, but with provincial guidelines slowly easing across Ontario for months now, we wanted to give fans something to celebrate this year…The event will feature everything pop culture fans will remember pre-pandemic, with all necessary safety measurements in place, including mandatory double vaccination for ticketholders.”
NFCC Fan Fest 2021 may be smaller than previous years, but the guests are just as great! Here’s a list of some of the celebrity guests announced to attend:
- Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Kim’s Convenience, The Mandalorian)
- Tara Spencer-Nairn (Corner Gas)
- Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy)
- Miko Hughes (Kindergarten Cop, Pet Cemetery)
- Shane Kippel (Degrassi High)
- Derek McGrath (Kim’s Convenience, My Secret Identity)
- Sailor Moon Reunion with Linda Ballantyne, Toby Proctor and Katie Griffin
- Phil Gurrero (YTV)
Many more guests may be added to the lineup closer to the convention date.
The guests aren’t the only thing returning to the convention hall. Various attractions will be returning like taking pictures with the awesome Delorean from Back to the Future series, playing games in the Vintage Arcade Arena, observing and taking pictures with the 501st Canadian Garrison stormtroopers, and taking pictures with the one-and-only Niagara Iron Man.
Of course, the event encourages all its guests freely show off their best cosplays while attending the NFCC Fan Fest 2021; however, cosplayers are not exempt from following the Ontario Provincial Guidelines and the convention center’s guidelines.
One of the key things visitors must consider before attending the event is to ensure they’ve received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine (unless you’re under the age of 12). If you don’t have a Vaccination Passport by then, it might be handy to keep those PDFs stored on your phone.
For all pop culture fans, stay safe and have fun at NFCC Fan Fest 2021 this October!
