The impact Patrick Stewart has had on the entertainment industry is as profound as it is vast; in his time in entertainment, he has won three Olivier Awards, a Grammy Award, and earned multiple Emmy and Tony Award nominations in a decorated career that has spanned over half a century. Stewart brought the stage to sci-fi when he embodied the lead role on Star Trek: The Next Generation and when he played the role of mutant mentor, Charles Xavier, in the first live-action X-Men films. Patrick Stewart even brought his fearless stage presence to video game voice acting, taking on the role of the Emperor Uriel Septim in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and lending his voice to the role of Zobek in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

Chances are if you’ve seen anything produced over the past 30 years, Patrick Stewart has a hand in inspiring its direction. The legendary actor has inspired real-life International Space Station astronauts with his leadership shown in Star Trek, a feat befitting the legendary actor and proof of the profound inspiration he was to many.
In his 2023 memoir, Making It So, Stewart writes, “Never doubt the capacity of art to bring about moments of profound emotion and reflection,” and that’s exactly how the actor lived and entertained, delivering profound emotions to the audience with the command of a Captain.
