PUBG Play Test Server Gets an Extension 1

The test server for PUBG players on the Xbox has just been extended to July 17 at 6 a.m. ET.

The extension comes with new changes and content to test out. This includes updates on the balance of weapons and items, which includes pistols, shotguns, SMGs, ARs, DMRs, SRs, and a few other guns. The weapon sway that occurs when moving has also been adjusted. It’s now more pronounced when breath is held.

As for other item balances, level three helmets spawn in care packages, while the spawn rate for AR extended quickdraw magazines has been reduced. The casting time for adrenaline syringes have been reduced from eight seconds to six seconds, and they now spawn alongside normal loot.

Along with the balance changes, a new weapon is being introduced. The SLR is a DMR that uses 7.62mm ammo, containing 10 bullets per magazine. Compared to the SKS, it’s more powerful, however, it has more recoil.

The new vehicle being introduced is The Mirado, a classic muscle car that is limited to the Miramar map. It can be found in the downtown areas and main streets, and offers a fast way to blaze down a highway.

Other changes include updates that affect the throwables, character movement, boats and swimming, and the ability to spectate a player’s killer.

For players who haven’t used the PTS yet, it’s a separate PUBG server that can be downloaded for free if the player already owns the game. The server helps find issues the PUBG team needs to solve, and lets them work on them as soon as possible.
