In a bold move by Samsung, Fortnite on mobile may become exclusive to the Galaxy Note 9 during the launch period of the new flagship device.
Android news outlets, 9to5Google and XDA Developers have both reported on the yet-be-announced 30 days exclusivity deal between Epic and Samsung — if true, it would not only mean that Samsung users would have access to the mobile version of Fortnite exclusively, but both sites have reported that Note 9 customers will get access to exclusive rewards, including V-bucks, player skins and more in-game goodies. Interestingly, it has also been cited that Samsung will integrate S pen functionality to the game.
Both websites have also suggested that there is a possibility that Fortnite may even be a preinstalled app on the upcoming Note 9 device, which would make it even easier for newcomers to jump into the phenomena that is Fortnite. XDA went on to state that Fortnite will become a core pillar in Samsung’s marketing push for their Galaxy Note 9, with the company pushing the impressive tech under the phone as being the ideal fit for Fortnite players on the go.
The Galaxy Note 9 will be available for purchase August 9, 2018.
