The frantic color-changing platformer Runbow will receive a portable version with the release of Runbow Pocket Deluxe Edition.
Available exclusively for the New Nintendo 3DS and the New Nintendo 2DS, Runbow Pocket Deluxe Edition lets players take the platformer on the go.
Runbow Pocket Deluxe Edition includes:
- The original Runbow adventure mode that has over 140 levels that players must tackle.
- The “Bowhemoth Challenge,” one uninterrupted gauntlet of the toughest levels done in the belly of a giant beast
- All four Costume and Music Packs
- Four Nintendo 3DS Home Themes
- The Satura’s Space Adventure DLC
- The ability to play with friends locally on online
In Runbow, players are tasked with navigating some tough platforming challenges all while being mindful of the colour of the world. Different colours wash across the screen taking away any similar coloured platforms, requiring players to think ahead and plan out what they want to do. Mistime or don’t take into account colour, and players will see themselves dying over and over again.
When Runbow released on the Nintendo Wii U, it was met with excited feelings. The nine-player format was such a unique and new feature that Nintendo fans could not wait to get their hands on it. Betting on the nine players feature was a great move, and Runbow was one of the best party games on the console. The quick rounds let players jump in and out of the game as the night dictated and the simple pick up controls let anyone begin playing without much need for instruction.
Sitting at an 82 on Metacritic, the positive opinions of Runbow are plentiful. Many reviewers loved the game’s charm, the level design, and the way that you could feel the love that the developers put into this game.
The sheer amount of content in Runbow is amazing. Runbow Pocket Deluxe Edition may just be one of the best ways to play all that content. Taking the game on the go lets players play levels whenever they want and the ad-hoc multiplayer makes playing with friends easy and painless.
