After the announcement of Spider-Man coming to Marvel’s Avengers at the end of November, the first trailer for the new hero has been released, courtesy of IGN.
The trailer shows Spider-Man taking on an AIM convoy in an effort to save a group of trapped Inhumans, only to quickly be surrounded. Luckily, the rest of the Avengers team shows up to help him, and take a nice group pose, of course. The trailer is entirely CG, and it looks like we’ll have to wait a while longer before we actually get to see Spider-Man in action.
This is an entirely new take on the character, and not one seen in video games before, like with Marvel’s Spider-Man from Insomniac Games. It’s also interesting to note that this seems to be a brand-new voice actor for Spidey, although Square Enix hasn’t announced who it is just yet. Spider-Man will hit Marvel’s Avengers on November 30, free for all players on PS4 and PS5. It was previously announced that the character would be exclusive to PlayStation, which sadly means Xbox and PC players won’t be able to use him.
Marvel’s Avengers has had a bit of a rough go since its launch, but Crystal Dynamics is trying to breathe life into the game with a host of new updates and changes. While Spider-Man highlights the new content, this month will also see the addition of new cosmetics and gear as well as the Klaw raid, Discordant Sound. At the same time, the game is completely reworking how gear upgrades and resources work, in an effort to make the whole system more friendly and streamlined. You can see more information at the official Marvel’s Avengers website.
Marvel’s Avengers is currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game is also currently free for Game Pass subscribers on Xbox.
