An explosive live show at TennoCon 2026 revealed a brand new solar system for Warframe players to explore in fall 2026–teasing a new era for the long-running game.
A record-breaking crowd in Digital Extremes’ hometown of London, Ontario–and even more Tenno watching around the world via streaming—saw the world premiere of the Tau system. Throughout Warframe‘s 13-year history, the distant solar system has been alluded to in the lore, but after being set up in last year’s The Old Peace questline, players will be making the trek themselves.
With Tau comes the games’ 65th Warframe, the noir-themed detective, Brysko. Not only is he the game’s first to be based on a Sentient, he also marks the first time players will hear a Warframe’s actual perspective. To fulfill this hefty narrative weight, Warframe has enlisted Matthew Mercer, of Critical Role and the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Revelation, to voice Brysko.
The live gameplay demo debuted with what appears to be a brief segment with a temporarily-playable Lotus, before showing a teaser of a customizable Vessel and a new Railjack navigational system to handle the trip beyond the Origin system. Brysko’s abilities were displayed along with the first look at one of two playable regions shipping in the Tau update: Fornax, a ring-city plagued by a mysterious black rain that warps the minds of the citizenry.

Tenno also saw the updated whereabouts of the mastermind Albrecht Entrati, who tasks Brysko with infiltrating the “Hunra’s” organization. This local crime boss has a startling connection to both The Old Peace, and a new casino area with an original card game, Portau. And of course, with the new system comes new enemies, including a new faction of Sentients: the Fornax Drowners.
Within the demo is a new original song, “View From The Top,” as performed by Canadian vocalist Jill Harris. This jazzy number will soon be available on most major music streaming platforms, where yesterday’s live orchestral performance, the TennoConcert, is already available.

While Warframe players will head to Tau later this year, the new Mesa Heirloom Collection was made available today, with a distinctive duster and cowboy hat Signa. The iconic Excalibur was also added to Fortnite today, in a collaboration between Digital Extremes and Epic Games announced by Ben Starr, who recently appeared in the battle royale as the main antagonist, Geno (and will soon be added to Soulframe as the villainous Tempest Bayor).

Speaking of Starr, Arthur and the rest of the Hex will return to the spotlight for a special Nightwave remix in August. “Amir’s Shockwave” takes over for Nora’s Nightwave temporarily and fulfills Amir’s wish of playing the tabletop RPG “Fables & Frontiers” with his closest friends and allies. Players can take part in the fun with a 6-day KIM conversation storyline, visiting a new game room area in the Höllvania mall, and with new gylphs by community artist that reimagine the Hex as their “in-game” counterparts.
Warframe‘s fall 2026 update was named, as Iceblade of Narin. This update will introduce a female, ice-themed Warframe, a Deluxe skin for Qorvex, Citrine Prime, and both a Deluxe skin and long-awaited rework for Banshee, an original-era frame.
Warframe is available now, free-to-play on all major platforms.
