The Crew 2 Is Coming This Summer

Ubisoft has announced that The Crew 2 will be racing its way onto consoles on June 29th, 2018.

Ubisoft announced the news in a press release, with the game slated to be released on XBox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows simultaneously. The Crew 2 is being developed by Ubisoft Ivory Tower, the same team that worked on the original game. The game was initially set to release tomorrow, on March 16, 2018, but was pushed back to “perform additional playtests, gather player feedback as well as make the game line up with their ambitious standards,” according to the developers.

As for the actual game experience, Ubisoft says that the Crew 2’s playground “pushes physical boundaries” and that it will let players “experience the thrill of the American motorsports spirit.” The game is an online open-world driving game and will take place across America. Players who pre-order the game will receive The Crew 2’s  Legendary Motors Pack, which includes exclusive vehicles such as the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Touring Car 2016 and the HARLEY-DAVIDSON IRON 883TM  2017.

The company also revealed The Crew 2 Motor Edition that among other perks, lets users play the game three days early on June 26th. Motor Edition also comes with unique vehicles like the Ford F-150 RAPTOR RACE TRUCK 2017, Pilatus PC-21 AIR RACE EDITION 2002 Plane and the Abarth 500 MONSTER TRUCK EDITION 2008. On the physical side, the collector’s edition will come with a The Crew 2 license plate, exclusive steelbook and an official roadmap for the game. Players can also sign up now for a chance to have beta access at the game’s official website.

The Crew 2 is a sequel to the original Crew game which came out back in December of 2014. It released on PlayStation 4, XBox One, XBox 360 and Microsoft Windows and received mixed reviews as well as a 61 on review aggregate site Metacritic.
