Bringing friends and families together, Jackbox Games shares more details about two upcoming games joining The Jackbox Party Pack 12 lineup: Hyperface and Debate & Switch.
Set to launch on October 15, 2026, The Jackbox Party Pack 12 introduces many new games for fans to anticipate, rekindling friendly rivalries among friends and families during game night. Continuing the yearly release of The Jackbox Party Pack series, we at CGM attended a preview to learn about two upcoming games included in The Jackbox Party Pack 12 lineup: Hyperface and Debate & Switch.
Following the announcement of The Jackbox Party Pack 12 in May 2026, fans were given a glimpse of the games joining the lineup. The games that will be included are:
- Idol Factions – Two teams race to sort the answers into the correct categories.
- We Forgot a Card! – A game where players must craft ridiculous and funny greeting cards for weird occasions, with the option to purchase them in real life.
- Debate & Switch – Selected by the mayor, two players are pitted against each other to debate topics and persuade the audience to their side.
- MegaPals – Bringing friends together, players answer a series of questions and earn points for matching with other players. The two players who match together the most win the game and are deemed the new King of Friendship.
- Hyperface – Answer ridiculous prompts by warping or drawing on stock images or your selfies.
Expanding on Hyperface, the upcoming game is the first photo-editing party game to join the lineup, pitting up to eight players against each other to answer absurd prompts using selfies or a variety of stock images. However, taking it to the next level, players will have access to editing tools to customize their images, including smudging, growing, shrinking, drawing, and makeup, and after submitting their edited photos, players will receive votes from other players. Lastly, as players enter the final round, they can re-edit their earlier submission or create a new picture to edit.
Alongside the photo-editing game, Debate & Switch joins The Jackbox Party Pack 12. Up to eight players participate in a town hall meeting and must submit a prompt for the others to debate, whether it’s about “April 2nd should be the most serious day of the year” or “White rice is overrated”. During the first round, two players are selected, and each is given 30 seconds to argue for or against the topic. After the first round, all the players must swap one word in the topic, and debaters must think on the spot to persuade the other players on their side after the adjusted topic is selected.
However, the players who aren’t debating during those rounds can run side to side to indicate which side they agree with, and send one funny comment to taunt or help the debater during their 30-second argument. But most importantly, they can also jump around. Now this is how you host a town hall meeting.
With plenty of new details shared about the two games joining The Jackbox Party Pack 12, this is looking quite exciting for fans of the series. The Jackbox Party Pack 12 launches in fall 2026 on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iPad, the Mac App Store, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
