Fortnite is giving players a new way to experience The Mandalorian and Grogu by showing the first 10 minutes of the film for free inside the game.
Fortnite is no stranger to interesting brand activations, with the latest bringing in even more Star Wars. The latest update that’s dropping today, v40.41, brings a host of new Star Wars content centred around the latest movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu.
The Fortnite Blog dropped details for the new activation, The Mandalorian and Grogu Watch Party. Players can head to an island using the code 9477-7400-8437, where they’ll find a replicated Nevarro, where a lot of Mando’s adventures take place. Here, players can hang out and watch the first 10 minutes of the new movie together. A Q&A with the movie’s director, John Favreau, also follows after the viewing. It’s not just the watch party either, as players become Deputy Marshals and complete quests for the city. Fight Imperial troops, bounty hunters, and more, living out their Mandalorian dreams in the process.
The Mandalorian and Grogu recently came out, hitting theatres on May 22, 2026. The Jon Favreau-directed movie continues the stories of Din Djarin, also known as the Mandalorian, and the little Yoda-like Grogu, past the series that launched them into popularity. The Mandalorian‘s last season ran back in March, with the latest movie marking their first time on the big screen. It follows the duo as they set out to rescue Rotta the Hutt, played by The Bear‘s Jeremy Allen White.

The movie is fun, but ultimately, it’s inconsequential to the franchise as a whole. No part of it did I feel this was a story that needed to be told, or that any of these characters were going to make a lasting impact moving forward. If you just want a no-frills adventure, you’ll have a great time. If you’re hoping for something that would take the franchise to a deeper level, like Andor, don’t even bother. Regardless, this could have been better off staying on Disney+ as an original movie.”
Fortnite‘s v40.41 update includes not only the new Star Wars content but also the upcoming Community Day. Community Day runs for 24 hours on May 30th, starting at 9:00 AM EST, filled with free cosmetics, double XP, weapon unvaults, and plenty more for fans. The end of the season is also around the corner, with Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 kicking off at 7:00 PM EST on June 5.
