The Umbrella Academy Gears Up For Its 4th & Final Season

Netflix has finally torn back the curtain on the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy, and not only do fans have a release date, but all of the episodes can be watched at once.

The final season of The Umbrella Academy will be gracing screens on August 8, 2024, and all six episodes of the farewell season will be made available at once, allowing fans to Netflix and marathon the entire season in one go, IGN reports. Fans last received info regarding the hotly anticipated season four in November, where a teaser showcased the characters. Robert Sheehan (who plays Klaus Hargreeves) said, “Fans, expect nothing, and you will gain everything” in that teaser, which can be seen below.

The Umbrella Academy’s final season will feature series newcomers Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally and David Cross. David Cross (Arrested Development) will play a shy family businessman called Sy Grossman, while Offerman (The Last of Us) and Mullally (Will & Grace), who are married in real life, will play on-screen doctors that double as community college professors Gene and Jean Thibedeau, who suffer from severe cases of deja vu.

The Umbrella Academy returning cast includes Elliot Page, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Tom Hopper, Ritu Arya and Colm Feore. The Umbrella Academy originally aired back in 2019 and was based on a graphic novel of the same name written by My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá.

It’s worth mentioning the final season of The Umbrella Academy isn’t all fans have to look forward to. A new novel will accompany the final season, and it will be a prequel penned by Alyssa Sheinmel that is set to release in June this year. The final season of The Umbrella Academy will launch on August 8.
