Netflix has been drip-feeding fans information regarding the live-action adaptation of the beloved animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, and today, they’ve dropped another live-action teaser.

Following the success and renewal announcement for the recently acclaimed One Piece live-action adaptation, Netflix has dropped yet another teaser trailer for their next adaptation, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Netflix has notably had ups and downs when it comes to its adaptations, with Castlevania receiving a generally favourable 71% on Metacritic and Cowboy Bebop‘s live adaptation garnering an abysmal 47%. The trailer, however, has received a lot of attention so far, grabbing over 500,000 views within two hours of going live, and the latest Avatar: The Last Airbender trailer can be seen below.

The Netflix Avatar: The Last Airbender trailer does a solid job of laying the groundwork for the high-stakes world in peril. The Fire Nation breaks a harmonious peace held by the four main nations by invading and wiping out the Air Nomads, and they won’t stop until they conquer the whole world. Aang (Gordon Cormier) is the last member of the Air Nomad tribe, and the world’s last hope of prevailing against the Fire Nation, so he must awaken and take his rightful place as the next Avatar if the world has any chance of defeating Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim).

Fans have mainly had a positive reception of the trailer, with users like pineal0ptics928 saying, “Man this looks incredible. I can’t believe this is happening, blown away already. I normally don’t like live adaptations but this looks like it’s going to be the one for me” in the Avatar: The Last Airbender comments below the video. With reports of a potential new anime on the horizon as well, things are looking up for the Air Nomads as of late.

Fans won’t have to wait much longer for the adaptation, as Avatar: The Last Airbender launches exclusively on Netflix on February 22.
