This is Us releases trailer for its Sixth and Final Season

Sadly, it’s the beginning of the end for the Pearson’s story as NBC has released a trailer for the final season of its family drama series, This Is Us titled ‘The Final Chapter’.

The trailer was released during the NBC broadcast of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and focuses on an older Rebecca as she is conflicted on the memories she’ll lose to her Alzheimer’s disease which has become more of a narrative focal point as the series has gone on.

The trailer features tear-jerking emotional moments This is Us fans know all to well including Randall talking to Kevin about calling him his ‘brother’ after 36 years, Jack Pearson wanting to see ‘the dance’, The Big Three’s 41st birthday, Randall telling his biological father, William Hill to breath at a hospital, Jack Damon as an adult in a flash forward, a flashback to when The Big Three were little, Jack Pearson coming out of a burning house and many more.

“I’m losing my memory. Sometimes I think about what my very last memory will be before the candle goes out,” Rebecca Pearson (played by Mandy Moore) says at the top of the trailer.

“I don’t know how much longer I have before things get worse so I made sure to remember every little detail. I would just wish I could make time stand still… I’m not worried about forgetting the big stuff, it’s the little thing I’m not ready to let go of.”

This is Us was created and executive produced by Dan Fogelman and comes from the production company, 20th Television. The cast of the series is led by Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, who won an Emmy for his role, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson and Chris Sullivan.

This is Us is set to return for its sixth and final season on January 4th, 2022 on NBC.
