Thor: Love and Thunder Teaser Trailer Released

Get a First Look at the MCU's First Fourth Character Movie

Thor: Love and Thunder Teaser Trailer Released

With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness coming in a couple of months, we just got the first official look at the next MCU film to come out after, Thor: Love and Thunder which looks like it’s indeed bringing the thunder in Taka Waititi’s directorial return to the MCU.

It’s been a long wait for this teaser trailer, to be honest, there was a little worry of another delay, but at the end of the trailer, it still states the film is coming out this July. The upcoming movie will see the return of Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Taika Waititi as the lovable Korg (he’s made of rocks), as well as the Guardians of the Galaxy. In addition, the film will also see Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster from Thor and Thor: The Dark World make a comeback as Lady Thor. Portman can be seen in all her costumed glory wielding Thor’s reformed Mjöllnir in the teaser trailer.

It isn’t just about the old faces but some new ones including Batman actor, Christian Bale as a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods who interrupted the titular character’s journey of inner peace in retirement. Thor will now embark on another cosmic adventure with his ex-girlfriend, Jane Foster, as they seek to find the “mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.”

The movie is set to be the first time a character has gotten a fourth solo movie in the MCU, Iron Man and Captain America stopped at three; a fourth Captain America movie is coming, but it won’t be Chris Evans as Cap’ this time around. The release of the teaser trailer is the shortest amount of time that the MCU released a first look at a film before the film’s release.

Thor: Love and Thunder is the 29th film in the MCU and is set to hit theatres on July 8th, 2022.
