TIFF 2023 - Midnight Madness & Discovery Program Details Revealed

TIFF 2023 is scheduled to launch in September, and the event is trickling out details for potential goers to plan ahead accordingly with Midnight Madness and Discovery.

It’s safe to say the Toronto International Film Festival is one of the biggest celebrations of film annually, so the organizers of TIFF 2023 have the job of revealing information to the masses far ahead of schedule to prepare attendees for the event. This is despite the ongoing WGA SAG-AFTRA film strike.

Today, TIFF 2023 spilled the beans on some of their upcoming program details ways ahead of the September event. While the official event schedule is set to launch on August 15, the lineup of films for the upcoming Midnight Madness and Discovery Programs has been revealed ahead of time to show attendees what each program is loaded with and which films will be featured in each program.

TIFF Chief Programming Officer Anita Lee said, “TIFF’s Discovery and Midnight Madness programmes for 2023 will once again prove to be the ultimate destination for tastemakers and experience seekers” With Midnight Madness having a 10-title lineup, and Discovery having a lineup of 26 titles — 50% of the discovery titles this time around notably feature female filmmakers — Discovery and Midnight Madness could be considered must-attend programs for attendees.
