The first full trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story has been released, and it is neither scruffy looking, nor does it partake in nerf herding.
The trailer features the first good look at Alden Ehrenreich’s young Han Solo, as well as Donald Glover’s Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke’s Qi’Ra and Woody Harrelson’s Tobias Beckett. Solo: A Star Wars Story will hit theatres on May 25th of this year and will be the second Star Wars anthology film released to date.
The film has had a bit of a bumpy lightspeed ride as original directors, Phil Lord & Christopher Miller were fired back in June of 2017 for creative differences with Lucasfilm executives. Since then, director Ron Howard has taken over and against all odds the film is still set to meet its projected release date. Star Wars also recently released some new teaser posters for the film.
Solo: A Star Wars Story joins 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story as the first two Star Wars anthology films. It was announced last year that there are plans for more anthology films, including one potentially focusing on Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
