Twisted Metal Launches On Paramount+ In Canada On August 10

The highly anticipated Twisted Metal series is finally right around the corner, and it has now been revealed it is launching on Paramount+ in Canada.

Fans haven’t seen a new entry in the car combat franchise since 2012, with Twisted Metal on the PlayStation 3. But, today Paramount+ and Sony Pictures Television have announced the all-new action-comedy series will premiere on the Paramount platform in Canada on August 10. This is a different date and platform from the previous teaser trailer announcement back in April, where it was announced the series would release on PeacockTV on July 27 in the U.S.

The latest trailer can be seen below, with a more comedic approach to the car combat series.

For those who like to binge-watch their TV, Twisted Metal will also be launching all ten episodes at once so fans can get through the whole season at their leisure. SVP of Content Strategy and Acquisitions at Paramount+, Doug Craig, said, “TWISTED METAL delivers high-octane blockbuster summer movie energy episode after episode,” with “From top to bottom, this series is a wild ride that delivers with talent and story that showcases the premium content Paramount+ viewers can expect from the service” regarding the upcoming video game based adaptation.

Executive Vice President of Distribution Flory Bramnick and EVP of Distribution for North America, Jason Spivak echoed Craig, “It fuses heart and humour with nostalgia of the early 2000s in an imaginative way that will be distinctly relatable for global audiences. We look forward to working with our partners at Paramount+ to bring this escapist comedy to Canadians next month and later this year to additional territories,” answering whether Paramount+ will be behind localization to other countries and not PeacockTV.

Twisted Metal will launch on August 10, exclusively on Paramount+ in Canada, and the series will undoubtedly release in other territories at a later date, but also on Paramount+. Twisted Metal will also launch on July 27 on Peacock in the U.S.
