Live Action of Twisted Metal Cast Will Arnett as Sweet Tooth

Sony’s live-action series of the chaotic vehicular combat game Twisted Metal has come with the news that Will Arnett has been cast to voice the series’ infamous villain called Sweet Tooth

It has been nearly a decade since the last game in the franchise, Twisted Metal (2012), hit consoles but now fans can experience the series in a new way when the live-action version makes its debut on the Peacock streaming service. It was recently announced that Arnett would be voicing Sweet Tooth, the terrifying clown who absolutely loves chaos and rides around “Lost Vegas” as he slaughters racers with his somewhat menacingly cute ice cream truck.

Famous for his Cobra Kai series, Michael Johnathan Smith will serve as a screenwriter and showrunner for the series, while Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool, Zombieland) join the Twisted Metal executive production team with Arnett and Anthony Mackie.

Alongside Mackie and Arnett, the cast will also include Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Thomas Haden Church (No way Home), and Neve Campbell (Scream). Beatriz as Quiet, described by IGN as “a ferocious, badass car thief who acts purely on instinct,” Whereas Church will be playing as Agent Stone, the highway patrolman that won’t be stopped to bring law and order back to America. Lastly Neve will be making her guest appearance as Raven.

The Twisted Metal series will follow an amnesiac outsider that is offered a chance of a better life if he delivers a mysterious package across the post-apocalyptic wastelands ruled by savage marauders. He is also accompanied by Quiet who will be helping by navigating him through the dangerous roads while the deranged clown known as Sweet Tooth ravages the city of “Lost Vegas.”

Not much else is known about the series or its release date on Peacock. Long-time fans of the series will finally receive news on the franchise that was thought to be abandoned by Sony. Until further notice, we won’t be hearing from the series any time soon. For now, you can go through nostalgic moments by playing through the franchise to give yourself a quick recap.
