Ubisoft X OWO Brings an Innovative Haptic Bodysuit For Assassin's Creed Mirage

In the latest advanced technology news, Ubisoft has partnered with OWO to bring fans haptic feedback to the torso with an Assassin’s Creed Mirage bodysuit.

Ubisoft has announced today they will be partnering with OWO, a company that specializes in Haptic OWO Skin that allows users to feel bodily sensations during gameplay, for an Assassin’s Creed Mirage crossover. The OWO Skin with Assassin’s Creed Mirage will make it so players can feel like they’re entering the Animus themselves, albeit at a drastically reduced rate and with no overlord company attempting to steal ancient technology from Eden.

As players take to the streets as Basim, they will be able to feel the sensations of the main character by wearing the OWO Skin and Ubisoft collaboration, which comes in the same colour as Basim’s assassin’s robes. Commenting on the collaboration, Fabian Salomon, Lead Producer at Ubisoft Bordeaux, said: “By using OWO’s groundbreaking technologies and expertise, we are able to immerse players in the world, sounds and sensations of Assassin’s Creed Mirage in an innovative and enhanced way.

Founder and CEO at OWO, Jose Fuertes re-affirmed the notion: “It is an incredible opportunity for OWO to collaborate with a publisher such as Ubisoft. We are proud to have Assassin’s Creed Mirage in our game portfolio, and we can’t wait for players to start feeling the game. Together, we are on a mission to reshape the gaming landscape and push the boundaries of interactive entertainment.”

The OWO Skin uses over 30 different sensations to immerse the player into the game ranging from mild experiences like a brief gust of wind to an annoying insect bite, to what is only described on the OWO website as a “Shot with exit wound,” so it’s safe to say things can get serious.

The Ubisoft X OWO collaboration with Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available on the Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. Fans can head over to their official website for more information on the collab and the technology behind the OWO Skin.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches on October 12, and while the collab OWO Skin doesn’t have a pre-order or release date yet, it could be safe to assume it will launch at the same time. It’s worth noting that the current ‘Founder’s Edition’ of the OWO Skin has a backorder time of 3 months, which may also factor into the release date.
