Developer Nexon is eager to show off their highly anticipated RPG Vindictus: Defying Fate, and has announced a free public pre-alpha playtest coming next week.
This playtest will allow players to access a build of the game that is still very early in the development stages and will feature a demo level with combat from two different playable characters, Fiona and Lann, as well as some regions based on early-world concepts and outfits for testing purposes. This free public pre-alpha will begin on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024, at 6:00 pm PDT and run until Monday, March 18th, 2024, at 1:00 am PDT.
Nexon is hoping that the playtest will give players a lot to talk about as they are looking for feedback on what they like, what can be improved, and more. Given Vindictus: Defying Fate‘s early-development status, updates in the future will include things like character stats, narrative elements, items, and more.
Nexon want players to participate in the free playtest simply by visiting the Vindictus: Defying Fate‘s Steam page and following the steps below:
- Log into Steam with your Steam ID and go to the Vindictus: Defying Fate Store Page
- Click the ‘Request Access’ button on the Store Page
- Click the ‘Game Play’ button on the Store Page
- Download Vindictus: Defying Fate Playtest from the library and run the game
All player feedback can be provided to Nexon during or after the playtest concludes via the Vindictus: Defying Fate official Discord server.
Set in the same world as 2010’s Vindictus, Vindictus: Defying Fate is a fast-paced, medieval fantasy RPG adventure that combines skilled, high-impact combat with the deep customization of RPGs. Players will get to use many different characters, each having unique abilities and combat combos, including a couple of favourites of the series: Fiona and Lann.
Vindictus: Defying Fate will be available for PC via Steam and consoles, however a release date has not been announced as of yet.
