Xbox Fitness announced for Xbox One

Xbox Fitness announced for Xbox One 1

Microsoft announced a new online service exclusively for Xbox One called Xbox Fitness, and a free pass will be available for users with Gold memberships at launch.

The new service will feature a number of professional trainers like Jillian Michaels, Shaun T. of Insanity, and Tracy Anderson. It will also take the world’s most popular fitness videos and make them interactive using the Kinect, which will monitor things like your heart rate, muscle usage,  and the force and transfer of weight in your body.

“What makes Xbox Fitness so innovative is the feedback it gives you,” said Shaun T. “It’s that little missing piece of validation that hasn’t been possible for home fitness products before. Xbox Fitness completes that puzzle.”

Xbox Fitness will provide personalized program recommendations based on your workout history, popular workouts among other users across the globe, and offer a variety of 10 to 60 minute workout sessions. The service will also allow you to take on previous scores set by yourself, or others within the Xbox Fitness community.

The free pass will be available from Nov. 22, potentially opening up some opportunities for new years resolutions, until December 2014.
