Former Dallas Fuel player Félix “xQc” Lengyel has received a 15-day ban from playing Overwatch.

On his Twitter, he wrote that abusive in-game chat was never his intention. “Banter is fun and 100% of the time I type something to someone I know they are playing along and won’t be hurt,” he wrote.

xQc also tweeted that if he has ever typed something that made another player hurt, then he is sorry and he will be better.

The player was suspended from Stage 1 of the Overwatch League earlier this year for making homophobic comments. Later, in March, he was released from Dallas Fuel after code of conduct violations.

Mike Rufail, the owner of Dallas Fuel, gave a statement about the team’s decision to release xQc during that time. “There are few players out there who have achieved as much success in as short a time as Félix has in competitive Overwatch. Ultimately, it was in the best interest of our organization and Félix to part ways before the expiration of his contract. No one wants to see Félix succeed more than we do, and we believe he has a bright future ahead of him. I want to thank him for his time and the passion he brought to the Dallas Fuel,” the statement read.

xQc is scheduled to compete in the Overwatch World Cup for Team Canada next month, and it is unclear if it will affect whether or not he will be able to play in the Overwatch World Cup. Team Canada’s Head Coach wrote on Twitter that xQc’s ban might be temporary and account-based and “at the very least, there will not be any internal changes or roster adjustments at this time.”
