The Zelda Series Could Become More Open-World 1

The future of the Zelda series may become vastly different than what it is today.

In an interview with Mashable, series producer Eiji Aonuma says one of the top priorities is to make the games more open.

The upcoming Zelda title, A Link Between Worlds, will feature non-linear gameplay, allowing users to choose what dungeon they will approach.

Perhaps the next Zelda game will feature a completely open-world, in the same way Wind Waker was. Aonuma says there will be more information about the upcoming Wii U Zelda game at E3 2014.

A Link Between Worlds comes out November 22nd in North America. It is exclusive to the 3DS.
