The timing of the BLUETTI Elite 100 mini showing up when it did was incredible. It showed up on a Tuesday; I plugged it in, let it charge to full, and on that Wednesday night, the power in my whole town went out. Twenty hours, with no idea when it was coming back. You really can’t time that kind of thing with a review, and honestly it’s the best possible way to find out what a power station is actually made of instead of reading about it on a spec sheet.
Phones stayed alive the whole time. My Steam Deck never dipped below where I left it charging. My kid had the Switch 2 going most of the night and didn’t even ask if the battery was okay, because it just kept working. None of that put a real dent in the charge as far as I could tell. But the thing I actually cared about, the thing I was watching the whole night, was my CPAP.
I’ve got sleep apnea. Skipping a night without that machine isn’t really an option for me; it’s just a bad night and a worse morning. A lot of these power banks will tell you they handle medical equipment fine, and then you plug one in with a heated humidifier pulling real watts for eight hours straight, and the thing taps out around 3 am. I woke up during a blackout feeling like I’d slept in my own bed on a normal night, and that’s not something I get to experience during blackouts. That’s really the whole review right there if I’m honest. Not a number on a box. A random Tuesday night where the grid goes down and either your CPAP keeps running, or it doesn’t.

On paper it’s a 1kWh unit, and that number doesn’t mean much until you actually live with it for a while. It’ll run a small fridge for a stretch. It’ll get a laptop through a full workday without you thinking twice. I’ve charged phones, video game consoles and, hell, even plugged a TV and Fridge into it and got a real good amount of time out of it. The percentage barely moves when you stack them like that, or at least it moves a lot slower than I expected.
The thing that really sells the BLUETTI Elite 100 mini for me is the portability, because I have always seen these battery generators as this huge product that you need to use a van or truck to move around, but this thing is so small, about half the size of a minifridge, and fits just about anywhere. I brought it camping; on the drive up, it fit in the trunk great, still leaving enough room for a family of four to pack for the week, and really pulled off some glamping by being able to keep all our devices fully charged.
Small thing, but it’s the detail that actually changes how you use it day to day: the screen shows you a projected lifetime and not just a percent, but projected lifetime based on how much power draw is going. When the consoles were just plugged in, it was reading over ninety hours, which is crazy, and during the camp and blackout, when I was a little more worried because a night without the CPAP really messes me up, it was still giving me over twenty-four hours.
I knew what I could leave running and what needed to get shut off during the blackout, and the same with the camping. It was kind of like a fun game to check the screen and know exactly how much time I had left, rather than guessing based on percentages.
The app really ties the whole thing together in a way I didn’t expect to use as much as I do. I can check the charge level, see what outlets are pulling power and how much. I know that sounds like something that might not get used that much, but it’s a nicety to have, especially if I was running out of power during that blackout; I could figure out from the app which outlets to turn off instead of getting up and having to fiddle around with it.
The main reason I wanted to look at the BLUETTI Elite 100 mini Portable Power Station was mainly for my CPAP. There have been too many times when I am camping or just stuck at home during blackouts when I really just need it to work, and trying to do research and find one that is rated for it was a pain in the butt.
