The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile TKL 8KHZ keyboard is a familiar face with a brand-new and sleek low-profile design that makes it the ultimate portable solution for esports and enthusiasts alike.
I’ve used plenty of TKL keyboards since becoming more of a PC-focused player, but somehow, despite reviewing several Razer products over the years, I’ve yet to try my hand at their keyboard offerings. As a fan of the form factor afforded by TKL chassis, the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile TKL 8KHZ caught my eye as it seemed to offer both a small footprint and industry-leading performance for competitive-level play.

I’m happy to report that the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile TKL 8KHZ continues to showcase Razer’s intimate understanding of what makes a pro-grade keyboard desirable, offering an end product that is no-frills while simultaneously offering the cool gamer-centric aesthetics and feature set that set it apart from the rest. Before diving into what makes the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile TKL 8KHZ a desirable keyboard, let’s briefly go over the unboxing experience and what users can expect upon first use.
The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile TKL 8KHZ ships in your standard green-and-black box, which includes the keyboard, a quick-start pamphlet card, and a high-quality braided USB-C cable, complete with robust-feeling end caps to keep it in pristine condition. Taking a look at the keyboard itself, the Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile TKL 8KHZ feels very reminiscent of its late 2025 counterpart, but of course, with a much smaller overall footprint. With the original Huntsman V3 Pro already featuring a sleek design that made it both robust and sleek-feeling, the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile edition further slims things down with an impressive front height of just 19.5mm.

In terms of material design, the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile TKL 8KHZ keyboard features a brushed aluminium plate on a plastic chassis and injection-moulded, high-quality low-profile analogue switches that feel great to type on. A volume and macro keys sit on the rightmost quadrant of the TKL keyboard and feature a similar mix of metal accents that feel premium to the touch, without adding to the overall weight of the device.
The underside of the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile TKL 8KHZ keyboard features two retractable feet along with the classic “For Gamers” etching into the plastic housing. For those who do not want to raise the keyboard using the feet, Razer’s latest offering also includes five rubberized feet, ensuring no slippage or movement even in the sweatiest of matches.
Finally, in terms of other standout features from a layout perspective, the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile TKL 8KHZ keyboard comes equipped with a handy LED strip under the media control keys, denoting different modes of operation but also the amount of actuation being registered when in use. The visual aid may seem like a gimmick; however, thanks to the keyboard’s variable actuation settings, it can be an invaluable asset for locking in your preferred dead zones.

The prelubricated switches on the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile TKL 8KHZ keyboard feel extremely responsive and satisfying to type on, making it what just might be the best amount of travel I’ve felt in a mechanical keyboard to date. The typing experience feels effortless, with minimal finger movement that actually makes moving around in games feel tangibly faster.
Like its older brother, the Low-Profile variant of the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro includes up to an 8000 Hz polling rate, ensuring eSports-level quality on top of killer features such as rapid trigger modes, Razer Snap and Razer Flex. In other words, the Snap functionality essentially acts as key macros, in addition to Snap Tap, or the option to prioritize the most recent key input for adjacent key presses to eliminate dropped inputs while allowing for better strafing without having to move your finger away from the actuated keys.

Another work-in-progress but already promising feature that the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile TKL 8KHZ keyboard is compatible with out of the box is Razer’s new web portal for their Razer Synapse software suite. I’m not the biggest fan of dedicated drivers or software installations that only then allow me to tweak the settings on my device of choice, a frustration made worse with owning PC peripherals from different vendors, so having the option to vist a web portal to tweak the settings of my keyboard is a welcome additon and one that I found worked as advertised without ever having to install a driver or app on to my machine.

General typing on the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile TKL 8KHZ keyboard is solid, but playing competitive games is where the keyboard truly shines; jumping between games of CSGO and Marvel Rivals both felt hyper-responsive and fluid, making any mistakes or misfires feel truly like an error on my part and not due to maligned hardware or latency.
The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Low-Profile TKL 8KHZ keyboard is one of the sleekest options out there, providing every feature under the sun when it comes to high-level play, making it an easy recommendation for those who want a portable and powerful TKL keyboard to add to their arsenal.
