As we all know, I’m a mom. I was presented with the Shark Steam & Scrub Steam Mop, and I couldn’t say no. I never realized how much more often you need to clean your floors when you have children, and this mop has single-handedly saved the day (along with my robot vacuum). Knowing my floors are no longer sticky and sanitized means I can breathe easy when my children sit down to play.
So what makes it so great? To me, so many things! Honestly though, my favourite part is how it guides itself across my floors. The Shark Steam & Scrub Steam Mop features two automatic scrubbing heads, meaning while it’s sterilizing the floors—removing 99.9 percent of bacteria according to Shark—it basically pulls itself around, meaning I’m not forced to break my back while cleaning.
The Shark Steam & Scrub Steam Mop also features two rotating heads. This way it is scrubbing each spot on the floor in a line as you pass over it, but also in a circle as they scrub their way across the mess. The best part about it is that the pads on the Shark Steam & Scrub Steam Mop are washable and reusable, so you aren’t wasting money on disposable mop heads like some other options.
This isn’t the only way the Shark Steam & Scrub Steam Mop saves you money though. Since it is a steam mop, there are no chemicals required, no buying floor cleaners or getting on your hands and knees to scrub. This is both a blessing and a curse to me though. Without cleansers, you miss out on that freshly cleaned scent, whether it be lemon, orange, or something tropical. It cleans stealthily. This also means my partner gets a lot less credit for cleaning the floors, since I can’t tell when I walk in the door!

I’m only 5’2 and my partner is 6’3. The mop fits my size well, but unfortunately, he needs to crouch a little to use it. An extending handle would be a great improvement. Outside of this, the Shark Steam & Scrub Steam Mop is lightweight and literally pulls itself across the floor, so it is very easy to use.
For $150, the Shark Steam & Scrub Steam Mop is competitively priced and does everything you want it to do, and it does it flawlessly. There are a few small setbacks though. The length of the cable on the mop leaves something to be desired. You will need to move the connection several times throughout your home or invest in a decent extension cord. The water reservoir isn’t massive, and you may need to refill it once or twice depending on the size of your home.
The Shark Steam & Scrub Steam Mop more than met expectations. It heats up quickly, leaves the floor sterilized and warm as you effortlessly glide it along the floors. It is easy to use and cost friendly with reusable pads and no need for harsh cleansers. With a price that stays in line with or beats the competition, there is no reason not to use the Shark Steam & Scrub Steam Mop.
