The UGREEN 10,000 mAh MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank managed to surprise me, in a good way. Because of travel and events, I push my phone to its limit, and even the best phones barely last a day. To keep things going, I often have a power bank on hand so I am not stressed about calling an Uber or being without my phone when I really need it.
So, when I heard that UGREEN had a new power bank promising fast wireless and wired charging, and that the UGREEN 10,000 mAh MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank was also built to stay cool while doing so, I was eager to see if those promises held up. While I do not think you need to throw all your other chargers away just to get one, if you are in the market for a new power bank, UGREEN delivers on those promises.
First things first, the UGREEN 10,000 mAh MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank looks mostly like the average power bank you would see from any brand. It weighs around 230 g and is relatively small for a 10,000 mAh bank, measuring just 108 x 70.6 x 16.18 mm. It easily fits into a pocket or bag without adding much bulk. It features 45W wired and 25W wireless charging, and is built to top up your phone quickly when you need it most.
It feels good in the hand and includes an easy-to-use cable attached to the back of the device. The overall build feels premium and reliably modern, while a small LED screen provides information about battery life, charging speed, and other useful details. Even though the display is relatively small, it does its job and is surprisingly clear and easy to read.

But the UGREEN 10,000 mAh MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank has a trick up its sleeve. The little green lines on the front of the unit are part of an active liquid-cooling system, and the power bank uses a micropump to cool itself while charging. In theory, the CryoPulse technology helps keep the battery from overheating or becoming too hot while charging your phone.
I should note that this technology does not stop your phone from getting hot. Some devices use fans to help with that, but this system is strictly meant to avoid adding more heat from the power bank itself. If your phone gets really hot while charging, especially when charging wirelessly, this sadly won’t fix that issue. At least you will not have both your phone and power bank warming up when you need a boost.
While it sounds like a gimmick, and I will be honest, I was skeptical it would actually work. Having used the charger consistently while at gamescom and while travelling to the UGREEN event itself, though, I have to say it seemed to work. As I mentioned, my Xiaomi 17 Ultra does get hot when charging, especially when using fast wireless charging, and the UGREEN 10,000 mAh MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank did little to help with that aspect. Even after charging for more than an hour, however, I did not find the power bank got warm at all. It charged quickly, and I did manage to put its full wireless speeds to the test.
I tried it with a range of devices, including the new Pixel 11 Pro, the aforementioned Xiaomi 17 Ultra and several devices in the CGM offices, just to see how it performed. In all cases, the UGREEN 10,000 mAh MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank delivered as it was supposed to.
Granted, if your phone does not support the top speeds this charger offers, you will be limited to what your phone supports. Still, having a device this small that can give my phone another full charge is fantastic. When charging over a wired connection, I could get my 17 Ultra to about 55% in around 30 minutes, although this will vary by device and the size of the battery you are trying to charge.
At US$149.99, the UGREEN 10,000 mAh MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank is not exactly the cheapest power bank on the market. If you do not care about the CryoPulse technology, you can even get a UGREEN power bank with similar specs for around US$89.99. Still, I will be honest: because I constantly push my phone, having a power bank that does not get hot while charging is a big selling point for me.
I often have to throw my phone in my bag while it charges, and having the power bank remain cool to the touch when I pull it out is well worth the investment. If you do not need to push your phone that hard, or the heat does not bother you, though, the added cost may be a bit much to ask.
That said, after using the UGREEN 10,000 mAh MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank for just under a month, I am very impressed. While the CryoPulse technology may sound like snake oil, I can say it delivers on its promise. How much that is worth the extra cost is up to you, but if you want to keep your power bank cool while charging your phone and pushing through a busy day, the MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank is well worth considering.
